Disney | Texturas 3D en pantallas táctiles

 

Investigadores de Disney han desarrollado un algoritmo capaz de simular geometría 3D en la superficie de pantallas táctiles, para permitir a las personas “sentir” las texturas de los objetos que se muestran.

El nuevo algoritmo hace uso de la electricidad estática para producir pequeñas vibraciones en la pantalla, las que estiran y contraen la piel en los dedos, a medida que estos se deslizan por el dispositivo. La fricción que se produce ayuda a engañar al cerebro para generar la ilusión de relieve.

La investigación está enfocada en enriquecer la experiencia del usuario al interactuar con dispositivos móviles, como smartphones y tablets.
