LOD en 3ds Max

 

El LOD, o Level Of Detail (nivel de detalle), hace referencia a cómo se comportan los objetos a diferentes distancias del observador (cámara): los objetos lejanos tendrán siempre un menor nivel de detalle frente a los objetos cercanos. Ésta es una herramienta especialmente útil en el mundo de los videojuegos, donde los recursos suelen ser escasos, y por ende la economía en el uso de los polígonos es de primera prioridad.

A continuación te dejamos con un tutorial creado por Stereopixol, para que tomes en consideración este concepto al momento de renderizar tus imágenes o animaciones.
