Walter Volbers comparte Mite, un increíble corto de animación 3D que presenta una curiosa visión al mundo de las criaturas microscópicas que habitan nuestras alfombras.

Todo el trabajo de modelación, rigging y animación fue llevado a cabo en XSI/Softimage. El renderizado, por otro lado, estuvo a cargo de Arnold, con 3:22 horas de cálculo por frame (SITOA 1.17).

Finalmente, la composición y post-producción se realizó usando Nuke, con Firschluft para la profundida de campo.

 

 

Un dato curioso: El proyecto completo tomo casi 10 años para su finalización! Claro que con bastantes pausas de por medio ;)
