How to get rid of gradient banding in Photoshop

Unmesh Dinda has an awesome new tutorial where he dives into how to fix banding problems for creating smooth gradients using Photoshop.

When working with gradients in Photoshop, it’s common to encounter an annoying issue called banding. Banding shows up as visible lines or sudden color changes that ruin the smoothness of your gradient.

In this tutorial, Unmesh shares some cool techniques to tackle banding and achieve flawless gradients. He covers adjusting the image mode from 8 bits per channel to 16 bits per channel, using dithering to add a bit of noise and blend colors seamlessly, and making the most of gradient adjustment layers to create super smooth gradients.
